Community meals play an important role and at our school all children eat the same healthy food to encourage healthy choices. The school provides snack and children are encouraged to bring a fruit to share in class or a vegetable during soup-making days. No artificial sweeteners and strong spices are used when preparing the children’s food. Snack is provided in the morning and in the afternoon during the twilight program.
Snack fees are billed monthly and paid in advance. If a child is absent for a full week (5 consecutive days) due to illness, the following month's fee will be prorated. For planned absences (such as holidays), we ask families to inform the school at least two days in advance to minimize food waste.
Lunch is provided by Healthy Kids Kitchen that has been our catering partner since 2019. Founded by a former teacher from GGS, Healthy Kids Kitchen is a catering company that believes in creating dishes that are healthy, diverse, appealing to children, and affordable to parents. Parents are asked to register directly with Healthy Kids Kitchen as part of the registration process with the school.
